Fix: PhpMyAdmin for PLESK 9 Maximum execution time of 300 seconds exceeded

You may encounter to this error while trying to import a database via phpMyAdmin in Plesk control Panel.

Fatal error : Maximum execution time of 300 seconds exceeded in C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\admin\htdocs\domains\databases\phpMyAdmin\libraries\import\sql.php on line 118

At first sight this seems like a Apache or a PHP timeout error; However editing httpd.config and php.ini files and increasing the values for script timeouts will not solve this issue.

The problem arises because PHPMYADMIN overrides the settings of the server and to resolve this error the configuration file to PhpMyAdmin needs to be edited.

So, open phpMyAdmin config file from C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\admin\htdocs\domains\databases\phpMyAdmin

Then find the following line:

$cfg['ExecTimeLimit'] = 300; // maximum execution time in seconds (0 for no limit)

and change 300 to 0 for unlimited, or a sufficient large value like 3600 which is equal to one hour and save the file.
